Produkteinführung
2007 wurden sein »Quintetttraum« und seine »Meditation« mit dem Kultur- und Literaturpreis des Erziehungsministeriums in Taiwan ausgezeichnet, und mit dem Orchesterstück »From a Touch of Rippling« gewann er 2013 den ersten Preis beim Kompositionswettbewerb des National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. 2014 erhielt er das Stipendium für Nachwuchsförderung in Berlin Elsa-Neumann-Stipendien des Landes Berlin gemäß dem Nachwuchsförderungsgesetz (NaFöG).
Seine Kompositionen wurden von herausragenden Orchestern und Ensembles wie dem Ensemble SurPlus (Freiburg), dem Formalist Quartet (Los Angeles) und Reborn-the Voice of Suka (Warschau), National Sinfonieorchester (Taiwan), National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Taiwan Viola Chamber Ensemble, Taipei Chamber Singers aufgeführt.
Seit 2016 ist Chung-Yuan Yu Associate Professor für Komposition und Musiktheorie an der Quanzhou Normal University in Fujian, China.

Chung-Yuan YU
Taiwanese composer, born in Taipai City in 1984. His compositions were performed by outstanding orchestras and ensembles such as Ensemble SurPlus(Freiburg), Formalist Quartet(Los Angeles), Reborn-the Voice of Suka (Warsaw), National Symphony Orchestra(Taiwan Philharmonic), National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Taiwan Viola Chamber Ensemble, Taipei Chamber Singers.
In 2007, his Quintet Dream and Meditation were rewarded in the “Culture and Literature Award of Education Ministry”(Taiwan) and the orchestra piece From a Touch of Rippling won the first prize in the “ Composition Competition of National
Taiwan Symphony Orchestra” in 2013. In 2014 he obtained the scholarship for the advancement of new blood in Berlin, “Elsa-Neumann-Stipendien des Landes Berlin gemäß dem Nachwuchsförderungsgesetz (NaFöG)”.
Chung-Yuan Yu began to study composition at 13 years old, with Yi-Chun Tung. In 2002 he entered National Taiwan Normal University and studied composition with Gordon Shi-Wen Chin. In December 2009, Chung-Yuan Yu acquired the scholarship of the Education Ministry, Taiwan, to accept further education of composition in Germany. From 2010 to 2016, he studied composition at the Universität der Künste Berlin (University of Art Berlin) with Walter Zimmermann, Anton Safronov, Marc Sabat and conducting with Manuel Nowri, Hary Lyth. In 2016 he graduated from the Meisterschule (School of Master/Artist) with outstanding result. In January 2019 he participated in the 4 th Qigang Chen’s Musik Workshop in Gonggeng College.
Since 2016 Chung-Yuan Yu serves as associate professor of composition and music theory at Quanzhou Normal University in Fujian, China.
