Der taiwanesische Dirigent Su-Han Yang ist der Gewinner des Ersten Preises und des Golden Baton des 10. Internationalen Grzegorz Fitelberg-Wettbewerbs für Dirigenten im November 2017
Herr Yang absolvierte sein Konzertexam in Orchesterleitung an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin bei Prof. Christian Ehwald und Prof. Hans-Dieter Baum. Er ist einer der beiden ausgewählten Dirigenten für das „Mentoring-Program“ der Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation im Jahr 2018/2019. Im Juli 2015 wurde Herr Yang als einer der vier Dirigenten für die Zusammenarbeit mit Riccardo Muti in der italienischen Opernakademie ausgewählt. Im Juli 2017 studierte er bei Jun Märkl als eines der drei Mitglieder des Conducting Academy of Pacific Music Festival.
Herr Yang dirigierte Auftritte bei vielen internationalen Musikfestivals, darunter 29. Asian Composers League Conference and Festival, 2011 International Workshop on Computer Music and Audio Technology, 2014 Taipei International New Music Festival. In vielen internationalen Dirigier-Meisterkursen wurde Herr Yang als aktiver Teilnehmer für die Zusammenarbeit mit weltweit renommierten Dirigenten ausgewählt: Peter Gülke, Jorma Panula, Peter Rundel und Yuri Simonov. Germany-based Taiwanese conductor Su-Han Yang won First Prize in the 10th International Grzegorz Fitelberg Competition for Conductors in 2017. He received numerous invitations to collaborate with the Taiwan Philharmonic, the Taipei Chinese Orchestra, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Sinfonia Varsovia, the Silesian Philharmonic, the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, the Brandenburger Symphoniker, the Kraków Philharmonic, the Łódź Philharmonic, the Pomeranian Philharmonic, the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, and the Gliwice Chamber Orchestra. Since 2016 he conducts regularly the Camerata Taiwan in their annual concert tour in Taiwan.
In August 2021 he will conduct Humperdinck's "Hänsel und Gretel" at the National Taichung Theater. He appeared at several music festivals, including the Taiwan International Festival of Arts in 2021, the 23rd Gdynia Classica Nova in 2020, the 14th Festival of Polish Music in Kraków in 2018, the Taipei International New Music Festival in 2014, and the 29th Asian Composers League Conference and Festival in 2011. He was one of the two conductors selected for the Mentoring Program of Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation in 2018. In 2017 he was invited to study with Jun Märkl at the Conducting Academy of Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo. In 2015 he was selected as one of the four conductors to work with Riccardo Muti on the production of Verdi’s "Falstaff" at the Italian Opera Academy in Ravenna.
He graduated from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, the National Taiwan Normal University, and the Tunghai University, where he studied conducting with Prof. Christian Ehwald, Prof. Hans-Dieter Baum, Prof. Apo Ching-Hsin Hsu, and Prof. Annie Chung. In many conducting masterclasses he worked with Shao-Chia Lü, Ya-Hui Wang, Peter Gülke, Jorma Panula, Yuri Simonov, Peter Rundel, and Mark Gibson.
